Born on Jan 3, 1830 in Niagara County, New York.  Died on Jan 3, 1898 in Resort Township, Emmet County, Michigan.  Buried in the North Bay Cemetery, Charlevoix County, Michigan.  Married Caroline C. Blanchard (1832-3/13/1885).  Veteran Civil War. Elkanah and Caroline had one child.
